Household Reunion in Holden Seashore
The Craig household is further giant and additional enjoyable! Thomas’s mother, Eileen, has 5 siblings. 4 of the Craigs and their youngsters and grandkids met in Holden Seashore for a long-awaited household reunion. They hadn’t had one since earlier than I joined the household in 2017. Whereas a couple of key gamers have been lacking, it was nice to see everybody in actual life. A giant group flew in from the West Coast, and others got here from Tennessee and Georgia. Plus us – the Cville crew!
We selected Holden Seashore as a central assembly zone and since Thomas’s cousin, Andrea, did a superb job planning the weekend and hooking us up with a coworkers home. The home was SO properly adorned, nicely appointed, and had numerous bedrooms and a fantastic pool.
That’s me floating within the higher proper under. Pure heaven to drift in a pool! I’m sporting a brand new ?Carve Designs? swimsuit – they make the very best fits! It’s the ?Dahlia?. Sadly it was SO HOT with a warmth index over 100. We actually needed to be IN the water to chill off, and the water was 90 levels!! Fortunately the home had good air con. We spent numerous time on the seashore and pool.

Dinners
We had 21 individuals at our max, so dinners needed to be nicely coordinated. The primary night time we ordered a bunch of pizzas (and had extra for leftovers the following day). The following night time John Donne took the lead with BBQ hen, grits, beans from his backyard, and corn on the cob. I one way or the other didn’t get a photograph of this occasion!
The following night time was taco night time by the West Coast Craigs.

Our last night time was take-out BBQ with selfmade succotash.

We have been on our personal for these meals – typical seashore favorites of sandwiches and yogurt / cereal bowls.
We hope to have one other reunion within three years – or 1,000 sunsets!
